Island Park Art Club
Join us after school for art making in a relaxed and fun group. We will explore major artists and their ideas and how we can use their artwork to launch our own creativity. Making art is a developmental process and art skills can be learned. Washington state art curriculum standards are taught within projects inspired by current art exhibits, artists, literature, seasons and students’ own interests. The process of discovery through exposure to art and learning new techniques is what makes creativity happen!
The Club runs from 3:45- 5 pm after school for three sessions of nine weeks on Tuesdays in Room 3. Registration is tuition based for students grades 1-5. We will use a variety of media including watercolor, pencils, pastels, tempera, markers, collage, printmaking. Snack is included. Families are invited to and Art Show and Party on last day of each session at 4:45pm.
